Northwood Football Club

The club is based in Northwood Recreation Ground in Chestnut Avenue and has been around since 1926. The current club is very different from the original set-up and is the only organisation in Middlesex to boast the standard of an FA Community Club with all the attached sides playing their home football within the one area – i.e. Northwood Recreation Ground.

The First Team is the focal point for the club and hopefully the whole of the town, playing senior football at Step 4 of non-League football with an ambition to one day reach Conference level. However, this is fully supported by a youth structure that offers football opportunities for the local community from Under-7s through to Under-18s and even provides coaching facilities from the age of just four! The Club's development plan focuses on the right kind of coaching and on having sufficient numbers progress through to the club's First Team. Sundays in the park are particularly colourful with up to seven matches being played in the park with the Northwood sides playing in their All Red colours.

There is a fully-functioning clubhouse which is currently (summer 2014) being modernised and refurbished to create a brighter and more modern feel, offering café facilities, a bar, and hall hire at discounted rates for members.

The season runs from August through to the end of April and all fixture details can be found on the superb website at www.northwoodfc.com . If anyone with an HA postcode wants to come along and see a game for the first time, then please email This email address is being protected from spambots. Ruislip-Northwood Swim Squad (RNSS) is the major swimming club in the Ruislip & Northwood area which offers a range of swimming opportunities from beginners learning to swim, right through to a Borough squad with District and National opportunities.

The Club, which has over 300 swimmers ranging from 5 years to 20 years, from Junior Section to Senior competitive squads is based at Highgrove Pool in Eastcote. Training sessions also take place at the Merchant Taylors' and Northwood College pools and most recently, the newly opened St.Helens' pool.

RNSS has just become the first voluntary run swimming club in the London area and one of the first in the country to receive the Amateur Swimming Association's Swim 21 Accreditation - which recognizes the level to which the club is delivering swimming opportunities.
