Sunday 29th September, Merchant Taylor's School, for Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre

Entry is open for this year’s Moor Park 10k & Fun Runs, an annual series of races in aid of the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre (LJMC). This year’s chip timed official road race will take place on Sunday 29 September at Merchant Taylors’ School.

Since it was first organised in 2002, this event has grown significantly. Last year, more than 1350 runners of all ages from the local community got involved and took part. Many local schools encouraged their pupils to take part in the junior fun runs and compete for the schools shield. The hotly contested trophy is awarded to the school that enters the most pupils in the junior events.

The under 7 to under 15 junior races are held within the school grounds and start at 11:45am.
The Moor Park 10k starts at 3.00pm and, after a lap of the school playing fields, runners head out into the Moor Park estate and through Moor Park Golf Course, before finishing back up at the school.

Everyone who finishes the run gets a medal and there are also trophies for the winners in each age category and for the winning teams. There’s great family-friendly atmosphere with attractions to keep everyone entertained including a fun fair, bouncy castle, games and a complementary therapies and sports massage tent.

Entry cost is £12 for the Fun Runs and £20 for the 10k.
