All Northwood residents should have received a leaflet inviting them to two more public consultation events to discuss the redevelopment proposals for Northwood Station. BE SURE to attend the events and make your views known.

The events are on:

Thursday 7th March, 3pm to 8pm at St Matthews's Church, Hallowell Rd, HA6 1DW
Saturday 9th March, 10am to 2pm at St John's URC, Hallowell Rd, HA6 1DN

We have also received a disturbing statement from TfL's agent, Curtin & Co:

Notting Hill Genesis & Transport for London will be sharing proposals at two public exhibitions on Thursday 7th and Saturday 9th March.
These exhibitions will set out the general principles for development including height and design, and will indicate what is being proposing in terms of design and landscaping.

The station proposals include installing two lifts providing step-free access to the station, improved bus interchange, and a cycle hub facility. In addition, reflecting the need to deliver more homes in the borough, and in line with TfL’s and the Mayor of London’s commitment to unlocking its estate for development to create new homes and jobs, a mixed development is being proposed.

The proposals include 248 new homes over six separate buildings. The two most northern buildings fronting onto Green Lane and Station Approach will include small retail units at ground floor level with a new public square.
Thirty-five per cent of the new homes will be affordable including a mixture of affordable rent and shared ownership, targeted at young professionals seeking to get onto the housing ladder.

Residents are invited to learn more about the proposals at:
•    Thursday 7th March, St Matthew’s Catholic Church, Hallowell Road, from 3pm to 8pm
•    Saturday 9th March, St John’s United Reformed Church, Hallowell Road, from 10am to 2pm
Each comment received will be considered fully, ahead of a planning application being submitted to Hillingdon Council later this spring.
