How We Operate

The NRA executive committee is divided into sub-committees each with responsibilities for specific areas. The sub-committees report back to the executive committee at its monthly meeting.

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and turned out for the NRA Outdoor Carol Event on Thursday 11th December in Oaklands Gate, and special thanks go to St Martin's School for having the only choir that chose to shun the warmth of the church to sing outside.

The NRA's first Christmas Carol Evening was a resounding success. The festive and friendly atmosphere was enjoyed by all who turned out on this wintry evening - thank you for your support.

Read more about the evening and see photos at events on camera.

Were you there? We'd be pleased to know what you thought of the event and would welcome constructive criticism. We'd like to build on this our first success and perhaps have another event in December 2014.

NRA committee members took part in the Open House event at St John's URC in Hallowell Road on Saturday 6th September 2014.  Along with other local organisations we had a stall where we displayed information describing the work of the Northwood Residents' Association.

At the AGM in March 2013 it was agreed that the NRA should provide musical instruments for Holy Trinity and Frithwood Primary schools, spending £2,000 for each school.  This project has now come to fruition; the instruments have been delivered and the cheques presented to the schools.
